Excursions
The afternoon of Wednesday, January 14, is reserved for excursions. We cannot include excursions in the registration fee. We will announce a link to the web site of the company organizing the excursions for us. We have chosen interesting destinations typical for the area that are focused on the natural beauty of the Bay Area. There are also many attractions in the cities of Oakland and San Francisco you might want to explore on your own. We will be glad to assist you, e.g. with the reservation of tickets for museums like the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Companion Program
The companion program will be an interesting mix of guided tours and excursions organized by the company responsible for the excursions. A link and details will become available shortly.
Local Support
Limited support for local expenses will be available to scientists who are in the early stage of their careers. To apply, please send a brief statement of research and a letter of reference by October 15 to:
supportqm04@www-rnc.lbl.gov.
Should we be unable to fund your request, you still will qualify for the early registration fee.
