A two-day workshop will be held September 9 -10, 2009 at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to promote and help establish US-Japan experimental collaborations using rare isotope beams and specifically to facilitate proposing and conducting experiments at RIBF-RI (RIKEN). The meeting is timed to coincide with the next RIBF call for proposals, and will give US researchers a chance to learn about the ongoing program at RIBF, discuss ideas for experiments with each other and with Japanese colleagues, and to initiate or join collaborations.
