Monday, August 19, 2013. Paul Alivisatos hosts Town Hall to discuss the Early Career Research Program
Thursday, September 5, 2013, 5:00 PM Eastern Time (2:00 PM Pacific). Pre-proposals due through Portfolio and Analyis Management System (PAMS).
Divisions are responsible for certifying (1) applicant's eligibility and (2) that the research ideas submitted in proposals fit within the scope of the Office of Science-funded programs at Berkeley Lab.
October 3, 2013. DOE emails notification to proposers encouraging or discouraging submission of a formal proposal.

Mid-October - Template and instructions for Director's Memo provided to Divisional POCs
Friday, November 8 - Memos due to FundingOps@lbl.gov from Division Director or designated POC
Thursday, November 14 - Director's office returns memos (on letterhead, with signature) to Divisions for inclusion in proposals
Tuesday, November 19, 5:00 PM Eastern Time (2:00 PM Pacific). Final proposals submitted in PAMS
