Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
http://www.lbl.gov/

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) has been a leader in science and engineering research for more than 70 years. LBNL is managed by the University of California, operating with an annual budget of more than $500 million (as of fiscal year 2004) and a staff of about 3,800 employees, including more than 500 students. LBNL conducts unclassified research across a wide range of scientific disciplines with key efforts in fundamental studies of the universe, quantitative biology, nanoscience, new energy systems and environmental solutions, and the use of integrated computing as a tool for discovery. It is organized into 14 scientific divisions, and hosts five DOE national user facilities.

Atomistix Inc.
www.atomistix.com

Atomistix A/S is a leading provider of software solutions for the development of nanotechnology.  Atomistix has developed a system of integrated software modules based on quantum theory — the Atomistix Virtual NanoLab™ — that can accurately calculate properties associated with electron distribution and transport, and simulate experiments with integrated nanoscale systems. The software is a unique tool to understand, predict, and visualize electronic processes in atomic and molecular structures. With the software, nanotechnology scientists and engineers are able to establish competitive advantages by developing materials and designing products with radically new properties and functions.

Danish Agency for Science, Technology, and Innovation
