ATLAS Analysis Jamboree on top quark, W/Z+Jets Physics and Software Tutorials

The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will host an Analysis Jamboree on November 1-2, 2010. The focus of this Jamboree will be about learning to use Athena and various tools for data analysis as well as discussing top quark and W/Z+jets physics at ATLAS.

In particular the following topics will be covered:

Please register for the Analysis Jamboree by clicking on the Registration tab above. This event is restricted to ATLAS collaboration members.

The Jamboree will use computing facilities at the US ATLAS Western Tier 2 Computing Center (SLAC). Participants should sign up for an account several weeks before coming to the Jamboree. The Western Tier 2 URL is http://wt2.slac.stanford.edu/. Click "Getting Started" on the left, and then "Obtain SLAC Computer Accounts". Once you have obtained your SLAC accounts, have a look to the webpage below for instructions for using ATLAS software at SLAC: http://wt2.slac.stanford.edu/AtlasComputingAtSlac.shtml

Participants also need to obtain a Digital Grid Certificate and then join the ATLAS Virtual Organisation (VO) before coming to the Jamboree. For instructions see https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/Atlas/WorkBookStartingGrid.

Remote users can connect to the Jamboree with a telephone conference calling system using toll free phone numbers. See the Agenda for details.

The Jamboree will be held in Room 100B of Building 2 at LBNL.
