Gadgil

A recent article in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives explores the use of amended silicate sorbents that more effectively remove deadly arsenic from water supplies. Accompanying the article is a brief sidebar on the work of Berkeley Lab Environmental Energy Technologies researcher Ashok Gadgil and his low-cost method of cleaning water by creating a sort of "tea bag" filter filled with bottom ash. Go here to read both items.
