Hazards Analysis and Environmental Engineering Intern -Tested
the newest version of the accidental release modeling software program,
PHAST 6.0, and prepared it for company-wide release. Obtained and
analyzed data used to apply for a new emissions permit that will lead to
increased production and decreased maintenance costs for manufacturing
plant.

Research Intern- One of twelve students chosen from an applicant
pool of 70 to participate in the National Science Foundation’s Research
Experience for Undergraduates program at Rensselaer. Researched and
tested the phase stability of Nickel-based superalloy weldments for turbine
application for General Electric Power Systems Company in Schenectady,
NY. Participated in bi-weekly seminars on emerging materials research.
Presented results at the end of summer to professors and peers.
