Commitment to Safety at MSD
In the Materials Sciences Division, our mission is to do world-class science in a safe environment. We proudly support a strong safety culture in which all staff and visitors participate by using the proper safeguards and fulfilling all safety requirements. Here we provide documentation and resources to assist our researchers in achieving these goals.
New PI Transition Roadmap
Effective Spring 2022, MSD has introduced a new roadmap for Principal Investigators (PIs) who are leaving the Lab. These guidelines are intended to help ensure a smooth transition for remaining personnel, and cover such topics as transferring custodianship of DOE property and chemicals; training successors and safety leaders; closing out funding awards; and ensuring smooth operational infrastructure continuity, among other subjects. A link to the guidance can be found here.
