Thursday,
May 17 and Friday, May 18, 2007 sessions
will be held in the auditorium of the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI), located at 17 Gauss Way high above the Berkeley campus. Use Google Maps for detailed directions. Parking is available for a $7/day fee (coins, $1 and $5 bills only, no credit cards!!) in the Lawrence Hall of Science parking lot. The number of spaces is limited so consider carpooling or other means of transportation. DO NOT park in the MSRI private lot or in the UCB permit parking areas unless you have the appropriate permit. See the map below. Please note the steep and long stairway from the parking lot to the MSRI building. Take it slow. A shuttle bus will run each morning from the parking lot to MSRI from 8:40am until 9:45am. Public transportion by AC Transit bus #65 (line 65 schedule) and/or shuttle service (UCB H shuttle, $1 fare) is encouraged. The UCB H shuttle runs from Hearst Mining Circle up to MSRI every 30 minutes. Click here for the UCB H shuttle schedule. NOTE: Due to graduation ceremonies and a low-carbon fuel symposium, traffic in Berkeley will be especially congested on Friday May 18. Use of public transport is strongly encouraged. Plan ahead!!
