Research Misconduct
The Research and Institutional Integrity Office (RIIO) is responsible for responding to possible research misconduct as well as concerns about research integrity. Research misconduct is defined as fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism in prorposing, performing, or reviewing research, or in reporting research results. The National Academy of Sciences has defined research integrity as "a commitment to intellectual honesty and personal responsibility for one's actions and to a range of practices that characterize responsible research conduct." Employees, supervisors and managers who become aware of concerns about research misconduct or research integrity should contact the RIIO. To ask questions or discuss concerns, please contact Vicki Laden, the Lab's employee Concerns manager [email protected]

A few of many online resources that promote responsible conduct of research are available here.
