construction material of all living cells. They also initiate and control nearly all cell chemistry. Instructions for assembling or synthesizing proteins are contained in DNA which resides inside cell nuclei. Messenger RNA carries this genetic information out from the nucleus and into the cytoplasm where it connects with amino-acid-carrying transfer RNA. Ribosomes are responsible for the all-important task of bringing together these two forms of RNA.
