1. Introduction of new member Chris Bebek and ES&H Assistant Frank Rosado.
2. Self-Assessment Status:
· We are now able to keep up with data entry in the Lab database.
· We are making additional efforts in waste minimization.
· Quarterly Safety Day may help to remind people to address
ongoing safety issues.
· All concerns in 2000 MESH Appraisal & IFA closed out.
Working on 2002 criterias.
*Action Item: Schedule inspections.
3. Project Reviews:
A. SNAP Clean Room - Wire bonding CCDs.
· Nitrogen being used, but not high-pressure.
· Signs have been added to show exit (LSAD item).
· Some ergonomic changes (table height to chair height); LSAD
item.
· Occasional gluing - very small amount.
*Action Item: Check ergonomics
Project approved.
B. ATLAS Pixel - Young-Hee Kim has some ergonomic issues/concerns.
*Action Item: Evaluation by Matt Kotowski.
C. Composite Lab in 77
· Autoclave - Heat generated in Autoclave? S. Dardin says
it does not generate that much heat and is not a problem. Room may
not be sufficiently air-conditioned. Carol Freed has seen and preliminarily
said it is OK.
D. Liquid Argon Experiment
· R. Kadel in process of buying Cobalt 57 source. Will
not be inside liquid argon vessel.
· Will be using class 3B ultraviolet nitrogen laser as signal
generator. Richard is in contact with Ken Barat to review safety
issues and develop AHD.
Revisions approved.
*Action Item: Will review documentation for final approval.
E. Building 60
· Card keyed
· Still need LHC paperwork (project delayed)
4. Misc. Issues:
A. Building 51 Rooms 14 & 16 - Spaces will be provided in these
buildings for use by electronics labs. A question was raised about
seismic issues.
B. J. Kadyk asked about specific rules for parking passes. M.
Kotowski to check on this.
