Berkeley Lab SHARES 2014 Campaign
October 13 - November 28, 2014

For the 17th year, Berkeley Lab is sponsoring a charitable giving campaign called Berkeley Lab SHARES. This website is designed to ensure that every employee can find an organization to support with a tax-deductible contribution.

Please note that payroll contributions are not matched by the Lab and that they are made post-tax.

Employees can either pledge online, download the donation form, or take a payroll deduction. Send completed donation forms, with checks, to Bldg. 971-PR by December 6th in order to meet the December early cut-off payroll deadline.

Any 501(c)3 organization is eligible to receive a donation. In addition to Berkeley Lab SHARES, which encompasses local charities that support science education and energy conservation, options may be found among the following organizations: Bay Area Black Unified Fund, Community Health Charities of California, Earth Share of California, Foundation for the Arts in Alameda County, Global Impact, Local Independent Charities, and United Way.

Through the contributions of workplace campaigns, BABUF supports programs committed to reducing the violence among youth, strengthening families, developing our children and caring for our seniors. By raising money for community-based organizations, BABUF reduces the threat of hardship for these organizations due to financial challenges. BABUF organizes conferences and meetings to help community organizations and provides management and technical expertise for neighborhood, church, and group initiatives that benefit the community.
