FROM SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORT
BART:
The BART station is located on the G gates side of the International Terminal on Level 3, which is the Departure / Ticketing level. If you arrive on a domestic flight, please take Airtrain which takes you to the BART station at the Garage G/BART stop in the International terminal. At the BART station you will have to purchase a ticket for your fare to the Downtown Berkeley station. Make a transfer at the Balbao Park station to a Richmond destination train (On Sundays, there is no Richmond bound train from Balboa Park station. Please take a Pittsburg/Bay Point bound train at Balboa Park and transfer to a Richmond bound train at Oakland City Center/12th Street station) and disembark at the Downtown Berkeley station, which is directly across from the Shattuck Hotel. Driving:
Start out driving towards Hegenberger Road. Take Hegenberger to 880 North (toward San Francisco). Follow 880
to 80 East (towards Berkeley/Sacramento). Exit at University Ave. Follow
University Ave east to Shattuck Ave. (Over 2 miles). Turn right on Shattuck Ave and drive
3 blocks to Allston Way and turn right. The Hotel's entrance is on Allston Way.
BART:
Oakland Airport has a shuttle service to the nearest BART station. One way fare is $2.00. Purchase your tickets inside the airport terminals 1 & 2. Wait for a BART shuttle bus outside the baggage claim of the airport. Once at the BART station, you purchase a BART ticket, and take the Richmond destination train to arrive at the downtown Berkeley station. This is directly across from the Shattuck Hotel. Center:
At the Downtown Berkeley Station outside the Shattuck Hotel, board a Union City or Fremont destination train. Disembark at the Oakland City center / 12th street station. From the San Francisco Airport:
Driving:
Follow the signs leaving the airport head towards San Francisco. Merge onto US-101 North. Follow the signs to Hwy.80 (toward Sacramento/Bay Bridge). After Bay Bridge, take I-880 South Ramp towards Alameda/Airport/San Jose. Merge onto I-880 South. Take the exit towards Broadway/Alameda. Merge onto Union St. Turn right onto 7th St. The hotel is on the corner.
