Wine Country An Afternoon in the Wine Country Come along on this fascinating tour of the golden hills of Napa and Sonoma. Starting in Napa, we'll view the modern wineries. Growing here are the varietal grapes that produce the fine wines for which the region is famous - Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. You will learn details of winemaking process followed by tasting of the wines. In Sonoma, an enormous shaded Plaza is rimmed with old adobe buildings and carefully preserved historic structures. After your second tour and tasting at a well-known Sonoma winery, we will enjoy a no-host dinner at the Plaza. Cost $49
Muir Woods & Sausalito Tour The ride to Muir Woods will take us up Mt. Tamalpais and down into the cool green 500 acre Sequoia forest. We stroll through redwoods that date back thousands of years, some standing twelve stories high. The grandeur of the redwoods speaks for themselves. Next we will depart for Sausalito where you can browse through the shops or have a no host dinner in this picturesque old fishing village and artist's colony. Point Reyes Lighthouse Stinson Beach and Point Reyes Lighthouse Stinson Beach is a treasure tucked between the coastal bluffs north of San Francisco. The town itself stretches along a sandy spit and up into the hills to the south of Bolinas Lagoon. After Stinson Beach we will continue on to the Point Reyes National Seashore and Lighthouse. It contains unique elements of biological and historical interest in a scenic panorama of thunderous ocean breakers, open grasslands, and forested ridges. In January, the Lighthouse is one of the best places along the California Coast for seeing Gray Whales on their annual migration from Alaska to Mexico. Cost $43
Ano Nuevo Reserve - Home of the Elephant Seals Today, we will visit the Ano Nuevo Reserve to view the huge elephant seals that occupy the area beaches and sand dunes as their breeding ground. Ano Nuevo is a beautiful rocky windswept point on the Pacific Ocean. Elephant seals, and other marine mammals come ashore to rest in the sand dunes or on the beaches. It is an unforgettable natural spectacle that hundreds of thousands of people come to witness each year. Cost $37
