All employees and contractors have the right—and the responsibility—to identify and report improper governmental activities and environment, health, and safety concerns, and to do so without fear of reprisal. RIIO offers confidential and anonymous mechanisms to report concerns outside of the normal supervisory chain.
All persons engaged in research at the Laboratory are responsible for adhering to the highest standards of research integrity. RIIO works to promote integrity in research and research compliance, coordinates trainings on research integrity, and handles allegations of suspected research misconduct.
Employees are expected to report activities that represent real or apparent conflicts of interest. RIIO implements federal and state rules and regulations regarding disclosure and review of financial interests of both scientific and non-scientific personnel.
This website provides policy and procedure information for each of the RIIO focus areas. If you have questions about any of these ethics policies and related procedures, please contact RIIO’s chief officer, Meredith Montgomery, at 510-486-4453 or firstname.lastname@example.org or principal analyst Molly Stoufer, at 510-486-5820 or email@example.com.
