DSTW (Daughters and Sons to Work Day)

Program Description

Our 2018 DSTW theme is "Positive Change Agent." Participants will take part in activities that showcase how Berkeley Lab contributes to solving local and global energy challenges; and how participants can use their creativity, interests, and STEM skills to create positive change in their communities. 

Activities include:

  • Job Shadowing (optional)
  • Workshops
  • Energy Innovation Gallery
  • Tours of Research Facilities
  • Interactions with STEM professionals

The program runs 9:30-3:45pm on April 18, 2018.


Children ages 9 to 16 who are guests of Berkeley Lab employees.

  • Space is limited to 150 children
  • Limit of 3 children per Lab employee

Chaperones are needed for the event to guide guests to all parts of the day's program. Volunteers are needed to help with registration, assist in workshops, and a variety of other tasks that make this day possible. All volunteers will receive a free T-shirt and lunch.
